Tap Buddy is designed for manually drilling and tapping holes, whether using a tap wrench or a drill. Ideal for both simple and intricate jobs, it provides clean, efficient cooling, lubrication, and chip removal. Compatible with a range of drill bits and taps (up to ½ inch), Tap Buddy replaces messy, cumbersome methods with a simple, self-contained solution. 

This product is designed for use as a tool in drilling and tapping tasks only. It is meant to hold standard cutting fluid during use. It is not intended for any other use or to hold any other liquid. Failing to vent Tap Buddy after use could result in leaks.

Clix easily slide into the mounts on Tap Buddy’s lid and are secured with a click. To remove Clix, simply press the tab at the base of the mount with your thumb and push up. No tools required!

Care Instructions:

Tap Buddy:

Tap Buddy is designed for durability, but it may not handle significant temperature changes if not properly cared for. The fluid inside absorbs heat, so leave the plug open after use to allow it to cool to room temperature. Failing to vent Tap Buddy properly could cause leaks, affecting its longevity.

Tap Buddy's internal strainer catches metal shavings. To clean out the shavings, remove the cap and brush holder, then pull out the strainer. Hold it above the body to let the fluid drain, tap gently over a trash can, and reassemble. It is not necessary to remove all shavings from the strainer, but periodically emptying the bulk of them will improve Tap Buddy’s performance. 

Just like the oil in your car, you’ll know when the cutting fluid inside Tap Buddy is breaking down and needs to be replaced. Keep an eye out for decreased performance of the fluid and replace as needed. 

For long-term storage, consider emptying Tap Buddy and safely disposing of the cutting fluid according to local regulations. Gently wash all components by hand with warm water and dish soap, being mindful of any remaining shavings. Use a rag or small brush to dislodge shavings from the strainer if needed. Always handle components with care to avoid injury.

Clix:

Clix easily slide into the mounts on Tap Buddy’s lid and are secured with a click. To remove Clix, simply press the tab at the base of the mount with your thumb and push up. Clix can be washed by hand with mild soap and water if needed. 

Return Policies:

Effective Date: 2/18/25. At Tap Buddy Tools, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Below is our return and refund policy covering various scenarios. Please contact us here to initiate a return.

General Return Policy

  • Items can be returned within 30 days of delivery.

  • Items must be in new, unused, and original condition with all packaging and accessories.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect.

  • To start a return, contact us with your order number and reason for return.

Scenarios & Resolutions

1. You Changed Your Mind

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days if the item is unused and in its original condition.

  • A refund will be issued minus the return shipping costs.

2. You Ordered the Wrong Item

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days if the item is unused and in its original condition.

  • A refund will be issued minus return shipping costs.

  • If a different item is needed, a new order should be placed.

3. You Received the Wrong Item

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the incorrect item.

  • The correct item will be sent at no additional cost.

  • A prepaid return label may be provided for the incorrect item.

4. The Item Arrived Damaged or Defective

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage and showing that the product is unused.

  • A replacement or full refund, including shipping costs, will be provided.

5. The Item is Lost in Transit

  • Check the tracking information first.

  • Contact us here if the package is missing.

  • If the item is confirmed lost by the carrier, a replacement or full refund will be issued.

6. The Item Was Used & Now Has Issues

  • Contact us if the item develops an issue within 90 days.

  • A replacement, partial refund, or a discount on a replacement part may be provided depending on the issue.

Refund Processing Time

  • Refunds are processed within 10 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
